CORONAVIRUS (COVID 19) – A WAKE UP CALL

CORONAVIRUS (COVID 19) – A WAKE UP CALL

A new way of being.

Today I sat down to do some journaling and the subject of Coronavirus (COVID 19) came out immediately.  Rereading it after finishing it I have decided to share it here on my blog.  It’s not beautiful or wordy or profound in any way.  Just simple information from Spirit who has been with me for more than 25 years.  May you take away from it that which serves you and let go of anything that does not.  Please share it if you feel it will help someone.  Thank you.

ME JOURNALING:

3-26-20   Coronavirus (COVID 19).  Too much money being made on the back end pretending to be real.

7 AM in line at Dollar General in hopes of getting one package of toilet paper.  Good food stock here.  They open at 8 Am for the elderly.

How?  I don’t even know what?  You’re here God.  I can feel you.  Present.  Knowing, watching man.  Clasping your hands together and watching us butt heads and chatter away.  You’re real, we’re not.

We imagine our lives as people taking care of everything.  You see us as children who know nothing and act like fools.  But you know so much more don’t you?

SPIRIT COMMUNICATING:

It is the natural order of things, disorder & order.  There will always be pandemics, with man or without.  It is the natural order of things.

Cleansing from mistakes man’s made earth and nature take a course.  It will always come that way, undone, no matter what.

Infestations must have a feast and cleanse then order is reset to watch for the next mistakes that take lives in other forms.

Nature, Cosmos has their course to self correct.  It is the law of life itself in all things; chemical, gaseous, life, human, animals, vegetable, minerals, all.

The moment of truth has come for man in this century.  He has no choice now but to find himself in love and compassion of all things and life or string his life to existence of hell inside himself knowing nothing at all.

This is just as much an age of wonders as the next.  It is unseen by man because he cares for naught except his own self.

Any and all things are wonders unto themselves and others if they would be seen through natures eyes of glory in creation, destruction & recreation.  Life and death in simple patterns and complex lives hold sacred meaning to all.

There is creation in everything and wonder.  Man just won’t see it as wonder, natural order.

Life is a curious thing.  In order for new things to grow, old things must die.  Ideas, beliefs, lives, diseases, planets, people, all.

Rain falls, rises crops or fallows them in floods.  Sorrow and grief or joy at new choices is mans choice.

WHO ARE YOU?

WHO ARE YOU?
What part of you did you loose to get here?
Dawn M Cheney

What if a stranger asked you, “Who are you and what part of you did you loose to be you? Would you know what they were talking about? What would you say? What would your answer be?

The graduate that got the best seat on the Senate floor. The clown in the back of the room now President of his own multi million dollar company? The jock now hooked on drugs and supporting four kids. The cheer leader that came down with Parkinson’s Disease and lives on charity? The girl everyone called a “Geek” who is now a top scientist at Boeing?

Who do you think you are? What did you want to become? What did it cost you to get where you are today?

Oh I don’t mean monetarily. That would be too easy an answer. No, no, no. I want you to take a long time and really think about what these questions mean. Dig deep inside you. Look in all the dark corners of your heart and mind. Cry, weep, jump for joy, stamp your feet in rage, overflow with love and pull You out of the box.

What did it cost You to be who you are today? What price did You pay in your heart, mind, body and soul to step into the roll you play today? What did you give up of You? Not money, not places, not show and tell. That’s not permanent. I mean the You, inside You.

Where are You today? The who You wanted to be; singer, dancer, musician, artist, landscape architect, free lance journalist, tour guide, traveler, all curled up reading in silence, at peace. What happened? What did you loose of You to get here?

We all give up something of ourselves with every relationship we join in to, whether it be family, friends, co workers, acquaintances or just passing strangers. We compromise our personalities, our integrity, our principles, our dreams, our self esteem, ourselves, in order to fit into the situation, the mold. To fit in the box.

Maybe at first we jump back out of those boxes and back into being Ourselves. But if we visit the same type of boxes often enough, we have to give something of us away to stay there. Otherwise we don’t fit in the box with the others and we’ll feel alienated, unwanted. We have to feel wanted to belong. It’s supposed to be that way. It’s human.

We may even try on several different kinds of boxes giving something of Us away to each box in order to belong. You like bicycling because it gives you freedom and silence to think, but Box One doesn’t like that idea at all. So you give up bicycling in Box One, even though you gain weight and feel confined, contained.

Box Two likes to bowl and you don’t because you think it’s a boring and mindless game. Your new girlfriend likes to bowl though. So you start bowling in order to fit in while continually stuffing the feeling down inside of how dumb and boring a game it is. How do You handle that emotion? What happened to the time to do what You liked to do? Why did you give You away?

Box Three goes to plays and concerts twice a month, but you don’t have that kind of budget. You pretend you can afford it by secretly over extending your credit cards, thus going into debt in order to keep up with Box Three. Your fiances parents are in Box three. You haven’t told your fiance either. Why? What are you missing of You that makes this disastrous step necessary?

And so it goes on and on until you fit in to so many different boxes that You no longer have any time at all to bicycle and you’re gaining lots of weight. You drink like a fish because you hate bowling. You also don’t know how you’re going to pay the rent this month because of all the overdrafts and credit card bills from going to all of the plays and concerts.

Who have you become? Where are You? What did you loose of You to get here? Can you find You again? Oh the questions to ponder on these few questions.

These are the questions I’m sorting through me to answer about myself now. I’m just as confused as you are where I went in order to get here. I thought I had accomplished my healing quite successfully and smuggley confirmed that to myself. Of course, I knew I had more to learn. We always do.

But nothing prepared me for 180 degree turn back to the beginning. Yet that is where I feel I am; I need to be. There is no other place to find the answers I’m seeking inside me and in my life today.

I slammed to a halt last month, June 2019. I canceled my website, dismembered my known structure of my business, and I feel freer than I have in years. I still do have my business, my existing clients and I see new clients, but I’m different now. Freer inside somehow.

Over the last couple of years I had been feeling artificial, inauthentic, even a phony to myself. Yes I can do what my website and business cards say. I have the training, the skills, the experience and I’m good at what I do. I have lots of positive results to show for my efforts. I just didn’t include Me in there.

It’s hard to explain to most people. My friends get it. That’s all that counts really. I’m hoping you’ll get it for you too.

I had the appropriately prescribed and worded website me. Of course, the right combination of social media me. The semi perfect fit in the Business Box me. But I wasn’t there. Not the me of who I am.

My soul was dying, I was dying inside, I was hollow. My feet dragged when I walked, my enthusiasm waned at doing marketing and my heart was sad. I couldn’t, didn’t, speak of who I really was, what my true skills really were, how it all worked together for better health. I made it fit in the Right Business Box so I could be recognized among others doing the same work.

I didn’t talk about the shamanic parts of me, the Sekhem parts of me, the Medicine Wheel part of me. I wasn’t real. Ten years ago Reiki is the only thing that stuck out in people’s mind and that was the appropriate thing to market to get business. That is all wonderful.

My friends have been encouraging me for years to talk about the other parts of me, but when I did it was like people went blank. They had no idea what I was talking about.   So to fit in the box I didn’t try to explain. I quit talking about that part of me.

The Right Business Box never worked for me. I was never able to get a steady business going. It has never grown. Competition is not my way. My heart works differently, I believe differently. So I chose, “Whoever needs me, will find me.”

But I didn’t let go of the Right Business Box me that says, “You have to write this way, and do this this way and do that that way.”, because that’s they way it’s done if you want clients and success.

I forgot the part I had been told by psychic readers everywhere starting 25 years ago until I left Cincinnati eighteen yrs ago. “You’re work is different and you will have to find your own way. You will not be the healer that has multiple clients a day 5 days a week. You may have to find your own way to make money because you won’t fit in the traditional way.”

Ten years after healing my brain injury and heart attack Reiki and healing were all I knew. I had just lived it by healing myself for 10 years straight. My earlier training starting in 1995 was the beginning of an incredible healing and learning experience for me when I could find no medical help after my brain injury and heart attack in early 2002. I wanted to share my knowledge and abilities with clients and through teaching. I had multiple trials and errors along that journey to remind me of what I learned.

What I created was what others expected to be created. Not who I am. I tried, in words and ideas and I have taught an incredible number of people whose lives have been touched by the information. And I am grateful to them, to my friends, to all my clients and all those I have learned from for decades. We are all each others teachers, we are one.

I played the game long enough though. Now I am finding Me now.

This is what I leave You with. May you find You.

Going Within

GOING WITHIN

We seek outside ourselves for answers that can really only be found by going within us.  The wisdom of the ages is found inside each and every one of us here on earth.  The journey to go within can seem very frightening at the beginning.  It’s so expansive and there is no instruction book explaining exactly how every step will look along the way, like a scientific experiment with guaranteed results every time.  Only hints and recommendations of what happened to this person or that person and what they felt or did while at the same time telling you to trust that it will work for you too.

That’s where the BIG leap of faith comes in.  Spirit will push the door open giving you opportunities to step into something new or different.  When the time is right for you, you will take those first steps into the doorway in a leap of faith that you may not even believe in.  You will do it because it “feels” like something you are supposed to be doing and it “feels” right for you.  Your GUT, your intuition, your knowing, will KNOW that it is the right thing to do, and that’s all you have to worry about to get started on the journey within you.

Along the way you will discover that you do have guideposts inside you from your life experience, from books you’ve read, and people you’ve talked to that point you in the right direction.  When you get stuck you’ll find that the right people will show up, the right books will come your way or just the right information will land in front of you to help you to the next step.

It’s not about perfection or doing everything the books say to do.  It’s about how you follow YOUR intuition and knowingness inside you.  It’s all about pure TRUST in yourself and Spirit.  How you walk it your way.  It’s about a leap of faith that you DO know what you’re doing, even if you don’t.  You just know you have to do it for YOU.

Wisdom is holding your cards into the unknown and letting go of the outcome.

Thinking Ahead to the New Year

Canada's_fireworks_at_the_2013_Celebration_of_Light_in_Vancouver,_BC

Crazy things go through my head as I’m thinking ahead and rounding the bend into the New Year.  You reading this are saying, “It’s not even Halloween yet.  What are you talking about?”

Well let me explain.  If you are going to be thankful at Thanksgiving and wishful at Christmas, it has to include the New Year  because you have to include the past, the present and the future in all your thankfulness and wishfulness.  So this means thinking of the New Year now.

Fact is, whether it’s consciously or unconsciously thought about, New Years is always part of our lives.  Every time we talk about hopes and dreams for the future, that’s all the New Years to get there.  Every time we talk about family plans and retirement and vacations, that’s all the New Years to set them in place.  We are a never ending line of New Years always in motion to get to the next one to see what it will be like.  And we always hope that the one coming will be better than the one that’s leaving.

So you see, our future is really all of our New Years to come, which we are always looking forward to and thinking about all the time.  So I’m really not too early to be thinking about New Years.

Interesting perspective isn’t it?  What do you think?

BLANK AND EMPTY

believe1 smallBy:  Dawn M Cheney

Blank and empty my mind staring at you there, flat white outlined page on the screen. How we look alike at this point and time. And yet I feel your challenge directed at me just as mine is at you, “Go ahead, write.”

We balance each other up and poke each other with keystroke hits and black marks pretending to be doing something creative. Who’s going to give in first? Will you mark your untouchable white surface first or will brilliance surface like bubbles in my mind and appear like magic on your page?

There is no choice here but to look away and grin inside myself, smart, satisfied that I have out smarted you again. I have won.

There it is. The marks upon the page and you haven’t even smudged your surface to make a wave or move. I feel superior, elated that I have made these marks upon your contours and you haven’t thought of your first ripple yet. I am smug.

But then You ask, “But who made those marks, you or I?”

“Well I did, of course.” I exclaim in all my expanded righteousness.

“Are you sure?” You ask with such a mark of reflection in Your voice that I hesitate to adhere to Your remarks.

But I must not be put off. “Well, absolutely. Who else would have the aptitude to put such words to Your surface than me? You can’t mean to think it was You. You haven’t even moved yet.

In soft reverberating tones You blow the challenge my way. “And how did they come upon my surface if not by me?”

“Surely not by You, ha. There is the matter of the keyboard on which I typed MY words and the software that interpreted MY keystrokes into MY intelligence and done all through the machine brain of the computer CPU. But I was the one who first created their original brilliance in front of me now.”

“Na ah, not so fast.” Your voice now rising in my ear like chimes out of sync. “Where did they come from in their origin?”

“From me,” I exclaim in a haughty might.

“I don’t think so my dear friend. How soon you forget where your inspiration came from. Where did you start? Go back to the beginning and think again,” this insolent white surface gleams in mock gesture as I smugly try not to listen.

“I dare say I started at the beginning sitting here staring at You, a blank white outline on a computer screen. Nothing more.”

“And the challenge you felt came from where to find these words you put on me?” You impertinently demand.

“Why from You, of course. We were in rare opposition I’d say to get things done. I won though, of course, in Your defeat.”

And again You demand, “And from what depths and to whose surface have they adhered from such challenge, which makes it whose origin?”

Flabbergasted I explode, “My word are on Your surface because I put them there!”

Calmly stating, You begin, “I am the one you brought your blank mind to, am I not? And I am the one to whose challenge you arose to put those words on my surface. Is that not right? And the marks were stroked on my surface by your fingers from you mind after great contemplation with my help. Is that not right?” And I am the one whose outline they could not have been seen on unless I was there in the first place. Is that not true?

In deflated exasperation I must concede, “Yes, that is true.”

With an imperceptible curl of its edges, as if one would put their hands on their hips in superior satisfaction, You softly whisper, “Touché”.   And with that one word my computer goes inexplicably dead.  And the winner is?

THE END – REFLECTION

chakra_meridian_energetic_c

Where will you be when the end comes to see you? Where will you be in your head? Will you face it in justice or harm it in crying defense? Will you see it and smile or turn in denial? How will it harm you? Or can you see a friend?

How will you know who you are in the end if you don’t know who are now? Where will you go to see yourself sleep? In the arms of the Mother, the charms of the nurse, the words of the Father? Where will you reside?

Harmless, unharmed, forgotten memory that comes across you in the end willing to let you go as a friend. Will you call your name and let you go? Where will you go when it’s the end? To peace one hopes. To the battlegrounds end on the other side of the Universe where life begins again in peace and harmony. Love is the end. Love of self to let go and fly. That is the end.

GENUINE FACES

IMG_0398

It had an iridescent sheen to it from all those years of use.  I would often brush it off to make it look more genuine, like a real face.  Maybe I was born with it, but I don’t think so.  I remember a very different sort of face then.

I knew the rules of the mask.  You find a mate, you marry, make a family of some combination of adults and kids, yours or others, you have a good job, you buy a house, fit in a box and close the lid.  You give up who you thought you were to become the mask your family thinks you should be.  They say it makes you happy and complete.  And it does for all those years, within reason anyway.

Then one day the lid slips off of the box and you discover a corner, ever so small an edge, is beginning to peel off of the mask.  You try to patch it, but each patch makes the edges tatter more until one day you actually see the real color of your skin under all the makeup of the mask.  It’s beautiful, with imperfect pores and wrinkles and just an inkling of character.  You.

You would have thought you had started the whole world on fire by the way people react though.  Everyone you know and love begins freaking out about the loss of your perfect mask and commences doing their best to help you recover it.  They insist that it be repaired and fitted back on so you can fit back into the box they all know and love.

But the lid is off the box and you like what you see under the mask.  And you want more.

Now this is where everyone really goes berserk throwing a barrage of accusations and questions at you as if you are mad.  “How can you do this?”  “How can you let it go?”  “How can you possibly like this thing underneath?”  “It doesn’t fit.”  “We can’t see you.”  “How can you be one of us now?”

Your answer is very simple and direct, “I don’t know.  But I kind of like it.  Can’t you see the gift in the changes?”

“NO!,” they exclaim in horror.  “It’s a mess.  We don’t like it.  It means that we have to change too.  NO way.  You had better get back in that mask right now or you’ll ruin everything.”

“But why,” you inquire painfully.  “Can’t you take yours off too and try it just a little?  It’s so freeing.  It’s really more of me, not less.  Can’t you see that?”

“NO!,” come the screams back in great upheaval as if you had just upturned a bridge they were on with your little finger.

In innocence you try again, “Why not?”

“Change, for what?  We’re just fine as we are, thank you very much.  You’re the one that is wrong,” is the only answer you get back.

Your confusion rises as you ask, “Who am I?”, over and over again.  “What am I doing?  What do I believe?  Who is the true me?  Why can’t I fit in anymore?  And why can’t they change just a little to see my side, see me?”

Anger rising inside you, your tolerance disappears as these scenes play out over and over again with only the same outcome until finally the mask falls off completely thoroughly tear stained and threadbare.  And there you stand in the mirror, YOU.

The arguments cease to matter.  You catch sight of an edge on this new mask of yours that is beginning to fray. How many of these masks are there?  A new curiosity guides you to step out of the box.  The old mask lies on the bottom of the box with the laundry and dishes.

Suddenly you discover you are in charge of everything as a new suit of responsibility slips uncomfortably onto you.  Friends mysteriously evaporate, finances shift to and fro, and time is immeasurable, all yours now.  You take one last look at the mask on the bottom of the box and securely replace the lid.

You explore your new and bigger box.  It’s heavier and makes funny noises in your brain.  But it’s your box now to design as you please.

I took a new mask off today, but the responsibility didn’t go away.  It just changed a little, like one degree on a compass.  And I see another mask beneath it still.  I wonder how many more there are to go?  Only I am in charge of finding out.

WINTER HOLIDAY SEASON SPINS BELIEFS

Photo 2

The strength of winter is surrounding us as we step into the Holiday Season at the end of one year and beginning of a new one.  But this year there is an edge to it.  Our beliefs and lives have been placed in sort of a spin, whirling around waiting to learn what the government decision will be for a new National budget just before the year ends, how will the new health care policies really effect us, what will these new weather patterns bring the world next as we read about one major storm and disaster after another and so much more.

It is probably one of the most unstable times in our history pertaining to all issues in our lives.  And yet, how appropriate for these challenges to be facing us at this time of year, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.

More than ever, this year we will be given the opportunity to really push our belief systems on faith, trust, love, and gratefulness.  More than ever we will have to confront our own fears and pressures as we try to fulfill our own and others expectations for the season.  What do we really believe?  What do we really trust in?  How grateful and loving are we really?  How much of it is wrapped in money?

The past few years have taught many of us more about the true value of life as we have faced devastating losses from the economy, job losses and natural disasters.  Now again this year as began we moving towards recovery, only to find more obstacles in our way, we will be asked to draw upon the very bare bones of our beliefs and graces.  What do we believe and trust?

The true meaning of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years were to celebrate people, life, birth, relationships and hope.  They were created with faith and love towards others and themselves, joining different cultures and beliefs together in hope of a greater and better future for all concerned.

They did not center on how big of a gift they could give or even how many; not how much money they did or didn’t spend on who for what.  It wasn’t about who had what and who didn’t.

It was about the gift of themselves to each other in sharing and listening, reaching out to understand and celebrate the likenesses and differences they had.  To celebrate the newness of what they were creating together from the work they had done to get that far.

Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years all center on the births of new ways of thinking and being and the plans of how to change in the future to achieve those goals.  And these will be our same challenges this year as we are drawn back into our basics (memories, fears, beliefs, jealousies, joys, and pains).  We will be reaching into our own souls to find a way to make the holidays ring in joy and merriment.

Who are we really doing it for and why?  What really counts in our lives?  Why are we so caught up in what others think about us that we go broke trying to impress and please everyone else instead of really just enjoying each other and celebrating the true meaning of the holiday season.  What do we really believe and trust and what and who do we believe in?  Ourselves should be part of that answer and each of us will fill in the blanks with the rest.

Many blessings to all of you and all the various beliefs and faiths and holidays you all have and celebrate.  From me, I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving, a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful and better New Year.  Blessings, Dawn

THE DIFFERENCE IS YOU!

ScanWhat is the difference between you and them?  How come they count and you don’t’?  When do you get to make the difference?

These are all questions many of us have asked ourselves over and over again growing up being sure that everyone else had the power to make the difference, but not us.  This is also the basic belief of a major portion of the population of the world today.  No one wants to act on his or her own or get involved because they think they have no power to make a difference, so why bother.  And inside this belief folds the inaction that has brought the world to the brink of disaster over and over again.

We all seem to have been taught in a similar fashion that the “true” representation of power is outside of us; parents, teachers, bosses, the government, the news, etc.   That it relates to money, control, leadership, and possession.  No place for weakness and compassion here, or even yourself.  Just knuckle down and grind away to get to the top before the other guy does so that you are the one with the power, the one in control, not them.

This inaccurate belief is a misconception of the true meaning of power.  True power comes from within you. With the power within yourself you can move mountains one step at a time.  Mother Teresa was not a giant, but she had the heart to be her own true self.  She wasn’t an army of church workers coming to save the world.  She wasn’t rich and powerful ruling over everyone.  She was simply one person who stood in her place and changed things one step at a time to make a difference.  This is true power, the power within.

Turn the key and unlock the true power within yourself.  Take a belief and stick with it working out one step at a time to find the difference you can make in yourself and then see how it spreads to others.  You see that is where the real difference begins, inside you with your life, not outside with someone else life.

You’ll be surprised at what you can accomplish when you learn that the difference is you.
